Installing JDM Double Din with Factory Nav

Hi,

First, I would like to say what a great forum! ...allot of great information and peeps.

Anyway, I have a 2004 G35 coupe with factory navigation and a dead factory radio I plan to change. I intend to install a double din aftermarket but I need the dash kit (after reading what people have said about the metra, I am going with the "JDM" dash). My question is whether I will have an issue using this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-I...Q5fAccessories) with my setup; more specially, will this work with factory navigation. Hopefully there is someone here that has done this.

By the way, if this has been covered in a previous post, my apologizes, I did search.

Thanks!

You didn't search very hard. Look at the top of this forum. Hint: Look for my name.

Not sure if you bought your part yet, but we have it at a better price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330478741615

No kidding

I PM Tim@Grubbs and answered all of my questions within seconds. I went with the item in his listing; great price and very informative.

Thanks again (both of you)

You're welcome. Your DD kit is already boxed and on the way. Since you're in Kingwood, it should arrive very quickly!

I'd be rich if I got a commission on all the audio gear I've pointed people to since I put that shopping list up.

I'm sure you hear this a lot but thank you Wrathernaut for the informative and well written post. With your advice I bought the JDM trim kit instead of the Metra trim kit. I also bought the other items on the shopping list and I decided to go with the Kenwood DDX790 receiver. Much appreciated.

TY for buying JDM and not Metra. You know what they say, friends don't let friends buy metra kits!

Yeah I was going to do the Metra kit simply because of the incredible cost difference, but I don't like the idea of buying rubber control buttons. I will be recommending JDM to any and all who ask!

I do, but the continued thanks keep me motivated to keep everything up to date and answering questions.

And thanks for going JDM. I love seeing proper installs.
