possible to swap between 2004 bose and 2005 bose?

Hello.

I asked this question in TECH, but nobody answered..

Recently, I bought my car. G35 coupe 2004 w/ bose..
It does not play mp3 cd. So I want to swap that.
Looking for that.. 2005 bose audio.. it can play mp3 cd.

My question is... is it possible to swap thoes audios?
In 2004 audio face.. 2005 AC contral panel, audio panel and audio unit...

And one more thing is.. 2004 harness will fit?

I am looking forward to your reply~!

Thanks~!!!

What he meant to say is that the 05 unit is incommensurate.

From what I checked into the 05 radios will NOT work in the 03/04. I thought about doing hte same, but it won't work. Can you make it work??? sure, if you are a hell of a lot smarter than the average person with electronics and don't mind cutting and hacking up your car wiring...

Just go dual-din and get an after market touch screen system. It will play more than just MP3s. It will do DVDs, video, and you can even get navigation. That is what my plan is after my stock unit dies.

your bose takes cassette the 05 doesn't. Faceplates are different. Won't work without hacking+bondo.. leave it alone.

Normally I'd be offended by the quality of the responses here, but this exact question was asked and answered a few posts down.

BY YOU.
