My Bose died for the 2nd time... so instead of buying another one, i opted for the GROM USB...

it's in the mail. There's a $10 off coupon online..

now the problem is.. i don't remember if it was inevitable that my A/C will come on full blast sooner or later.. if so.. that's another $200 i'll spend to get another BOSE unit... DAMNIT..

p.s... i would get the DD, if it worked well with OEM NAV.. i don't wanna lose the voice... and i have the DD's placement if I get one with NAV...

i will report back on how well the GROM works...

 

My radio has been messed up since 09 and i have yet to encounter the dreaded AC malfunction. Knock on wood.

 

just a quick update.. i like it.. the USB works fine.. good quality/bass..
the IPOD on the other hand.. doesn't work too well.. very distorted..
i think it's due to the OEM BOSE system.. They are sending me the newest IPOD ONLY version of the the unit to be released in the upcoming weeks. GROM says it's designed for both non-Bose and Bose. So we'll see...

Great customer service... i'll report back when i get the replacement unit..

 

How do you like the new one? Is there a good place to show me how to get to the back of my stereo on my G35 2003.5? I am not extremely handy.
