Satellite antenna options

I plan on buying the factory satellite kit. However, I don't like the idea of a black mouse on the roof of my car. Any options out there would be appreciated.

Sorry, forgot to add that my car is an 07 G35 Sedan, sliver in color. Any colormatched antennas that people have used?

Take it to an auto-body shop. Probably cost you $50 and about an hour for them to hit it with factory-colored paint.

So the paint won't mess with reception?

Good question.

One way to find out.

Okay, I guess two ways, you could spray-paint a piece of cardboard and set it on top of the antenna to test before painting the antenna.

you dont have to mount the antenna on the outside of the car if you dont want to

I have placed mine under the clock trim and the rear deck. Both spots have good reception

^ I knew the GPS receiver worked fine through glass, but I wasn't sure if sat radio signals would be screwed up.

There's a lot of room under the dash for a sate antenna, it's where the stock GPS antenna goes, and where I've put my aftermarket GPS antennas and they work just fine.

So has anyone figured out if having a body shop paint the antenna to match the car will interfere with the signal?
