So, I tried to revive a thread about this question, but no luck. I am looking at getting satellite radio installed on my 2006 IP 6mt coupe. The satellite antenna is going to be black, I simply want to know if anyone has ever painted the antenna to match the car, if so, did it affect the reception at all?

all of our cars starting from 2003 comes with sat radio, just need to subscribe,

 

- ah no they don't all come installed. they all come "ready" with the harness in place.

If you have a metallic flaked paint, it could interfere with reception. I've heard people putting the receiver (antenna) on the rear shelf in the car without issues.

I think pearl white wouldn't cause an issue if you paint it to match.
