Well I have the brown brake[+]detection wire hooked up to the brake pedal. Then there's a orange parking[+]detection wire and a red parking[-]detection wire. I have the red parking ]-] wire grounded like it says to for the speed sense feature. What do i do with the orange + wire? I hate that it beeps at me while driving when i apply the brake

Ok I think i get what your saying. The [-] parking wire that i grounded i need to run to the brake pedal where the brown brake detection wire was ran? Does that sound correct?

ok so i got my system re-wired today, for 2004 and above i think the neutral safety switch is on the ecm pin 102 green/orange wire but just in case anyone does not find that wire, there is actually a green wire under the PASSENGER kick panel that detects the park/neutral and that wire can then be hooked up.

So now basically i can start and shut off the car only when the car is in either park or neutral and does not matter if parking brake is engaged or not.

i still need to have the brake pressed down to start the car, but not to shut it off.

i have tried shutting it off while driving and stuff and everything is sound. you can still force shut it off by holding it down for 7-8 seconds but hope i never need that actually.

So in the end, i am now happy with the unit, all the little things have been solved and its finally perfect.

so my advice to anyone who might be thinking of purchasing one, do not get frustrated and be prepared to deal with little annoyances and programming issues but in the end you'll get it done.

good luck!

That's awesome that u found that wire. I looked for the thread where it said the wire was for an 04 but I couldn't find it again. It was a green/Orange wire. I will have to check to see if I can find that green wire u speak of. Do u have any pics of where the wire is? There's a lot of green wires under there. Lol

i was with the installer when he took the wire out, but if you take the panel out and start testing the green wires with a voltmeter while the car is in park you should be able to find it. he only found 2-3 green orange wires, just look at the actual pins if there are just wires going by just ignore them and test the wires connected to the pins. i'll see tomm about taking the panel down and taking a picture.

hows the rest of your install coming along?

How long it take you to do this project? Nice work. Glad you got it done now.

Thanks for the info here! Based upon your experience, I used a programmable bypass box as well, and it worked out great. This is the one I used:
