Yes, that's it (the sat "pre-wire"). If you had XM/Sirius the receiver would be next to the voice module.

So even though i don't have the SAT button, i can still install the pa15-infi and use the radio button to access my iphone?

I have an 06 Coupe w/ Bose and that's how I get to XM.
Yes. Just follow the instructions.

I just got done installing my pa15-infi in my 06 coupe. Pretty easy and straight forward instructions. The hardest part about the install was trying to figure out how to hide the wires, lol.

Same with me. The hardest part was figuring out where to put the box and the wires. I found a spot behind the ashtray. It's pretty tight but it fits.

Lol, I got lazy and figured I'd do a better job when I have more time. For now it's all tucked under the driver seat

Just finished installing the PA15-nis in my '03 coupe. I ran extensions for the iPod and aux to the switch blank between the seat heater switches. Allows me to remove all the cables when not in use.

For those that did the -infi install in an 06 coupe does your "skip" on the steering wheel work at all? volume does for me but that doesnt. I also seem to have lost the track info scrolling for radio and for the ipod after install. it worked initially but now seems to have gone away despite me not changing anything with the switches.

Don't have this in my coupe, but have it in our 06 FX. The steering wheel doesn't advance track, it want's to change to next preset station. Fine for scrolling through your XM or FM station presets, but doesn't work as well with the -infi since it's emulating an XM radio.

Actual XM radio info doesn't scroll on my 06 Coupe, so I'm curious how you got that feature to work in the first place.

ok i think im in the same boat here, i have a 05 g35 coupe and i have no clue weather or not to buy the usa spec pa15 nis? or the pa15 infi? No idea if i have sat radio or not i click the radio button and just get fm fm2 and am. If someone could just clear up, as i reed i saw the nis just goes behind the dash but if i get the infi i can just plug it into the harness in my trunk? (which i have to check out if i do or not) any help would be appreciated.

Only difference between the two is where you plug it in. If you have the harness in the trunk, then the infi is easier to install (IMHO) than pulling the dash apart to connect behind the radio.
