i use escort or Bel... never had a v1
currently have a bel rx65 as my portable unit
and on my g i have a 9500ci with laser shifter... its one of the greatest investments ive ever made... although i bought mine used so it was significantly cheaper
what i've found is its all a matter of opinion but have had over 6 units from whistler, cobra, bel and escort
and bel and escort ahve always led the way. their customer service has always been top notch as well.
