05 Coupe w/Bose no Sound

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time poster. A couple of months ago the sound in my 2005 G35 Coupe with Bose completely stopped working. The head unit continues to work - I can change stations, change CDs, etc, just no sound other than audible feedback. AC and most other things in the vehicle are working. The one exception is that occasionally I'll see the dash illumination rapidly flicker when the headlights are on (not sure if this is related).

I had my car in the shop last week and asked them to look at the stereo/electrical issue. They looked and claimed that "no voltage" was getting to the Bose amp, but that the amp was putting out the correct voltage. So they recommended I get a new head unit. Fast forward to today where I have a new head unit installed by Best Buy but still no sound. Here's the kit I have:

1. Kenwood DDx418.
2. Metra 95-7605.
3. ISVE61. Is this supposed to be equivalent to the PAC ROEMNIS2? I notice that the ISVE61 has pre-amp output but the ROEMNIS2 has a specific adapter.
4.
Metra 70-7550 Metra 70-7550
.
5.
Metra 40-NI10 Metra 40-NI10

So first mistake: getting it installed instead of doing it myself. But I was lazy. But I'm wondering why they sold/installed the ISVE61 and the 70-7550. According to Wrathernaut's Double Din Shopping and Resource List, I shouldn't have needed the 70-7550 as I have Bose (instead, I should have needed the ROEMNIS2). But would the ISVE61 with the 70-7550 worked instead?

I am going to rip the dash apart this weekend and see what's actually back there and how it's wired. I am also going to go over the wiring diagram myself and check voltages. I just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas/suggestions. Thanks!

The ISVE61 doesn't look to be equivalent to the ROEM. The ROEM is a signal converter and wiring harness combo, which is why they still needed the 70-7550.

It's possible that with a ROEM, you would be able to retain the Bose amplifier (if the amplifier is, indeed still working and not broken). If you're comfortable taking the dash apart, you definitely should have just shopped from my list and done it yourself.

Regardless, I'd recommend just removing the ISVE51 and running your own RCAs to an aftermarket amplifier.
