How is the bass and sound quality on the PAC unit? Any decrease in volume/quality compared to CD?

Compared to CD if you are an audiophile you will be able to tell CD is better because CD is a higher quality than any ipod file...the difference is not huge though

So to answer your question yes there is technically a difference in quality compared to CD, but you will more than likely not be able to tell the difference...

since you ripped the head unit apart do you happen to have that little ribbon cable that runs from the unit to the faceplate???? mine got stripped and can't find salvage yards that have this piece.. i'm selling my car and it's either find that damn ribbon or sell the car with my $500 head unit still in it

Sorry I don't man, wish I would have kept the head unit for things like this if people needed parts...

You might post a thread in the Audio/Video/Electronics section letting people know you need that part so that people who do the same thing I had to do can grab that and send it to you...good luck man wish I could help

Hi, i have a circuit board problem with my radio, which causes the radio to be inoperable and the AC to be in auto-mode without it being able to turn off.

Do you know that if i were to install your faceplate, it would solve the problem?

the a/c issue is internal on the Bose radio. been there done that. A faceplate wont do anything but make it look different.
