How to test speed sense wire and location?

Ok let me start off by letting everyone know that I have searched and I have read the other post on this same issue. I have had no luck finding it so far. I know everyone says its the White with green strip wire but it not working for me. Is there a way to test the wires? Maybe a multi meter? My car is a 2005 coupe and I hooked up an alarm. So I need to find this wire to work some of the features the alarm offers like auto locks ect. Any help would be great. Thanks

This white with green stripe wire attached to the back of the stereo is the speed sensor wire:

If that doesn't work, none of the speed sensor wires will, as they all put out the same signal.

Yah thats the wire I'm hooked up to. Isn't the voltage supposed to decrease when your driving on that wire?

No, the VSS signal is a pulsed signal that increases in speed as the vehicle speed increases.

So what would happen if this plugged was to be cut off? Isn't this the plug where u hook them resistor to, to make the steering wheel control to work? Just curious be uase i want to tap into the vss wire for my dd nav. Will I encounter any problem if I did that?

Factory units use it for speed sensitive volume.
Aftermarket units use it for that and/or tracking vehicle speed when GPS signal is interrupted.
