Kicker ix1000.5 and misc install - advice requested

I've had my 03 coupe w/ bose since 04. I installed mb quarts mids and tweets and have tried a number of amps/sub/loc combos with the factory HU, but have not been satisfied with the results. I'd like to finish my system once and for all and need some advise. I'm hoping the kicker ix1000.5 amp I just bought will run the whole system and eliminate some of the issues with my previous system configurations using amps w/out balanced/differential inputs. For the most part I listen to what I would classify generally as rock, my favorite group probably being Metallica, but also listen to the occasional steel pulse/bob marley and misc. "pop" music. I know its not a very specific description, but I'd like my system to be loud, clean with a decent amount of bass. Here are my issues:

1. Need schematic/diagram/wire color chart for 2003 G35 coupe with blose. I cannot locate the one I've had for years and have searched but cannot find the right one for an 03 coupe.

2. Need advice on best "reasonably priced" sub and box combination and best place to buy them. I have been thinking JL 10W6 with 4080 type box, but if I could get good performance from 10 or 12 W3 or comparable sub and save the extra $'s, it would be great.

3. Need advice on best mids/tweets if decide to upgrade my entry level MB quarts after installing the new amp. I read good reviews of the discontinued polk __6500's, but don't know where to find them. Years ago I had Alpine components from the 80's (can't remember model number) but they where probably the best I'd listened to. I would like to keep the factory front speaker location and stay under $500 ($300 range would be better) for the components.

4. Finally, if go with 4080 type box, any recommendations on location to mount the amp? It's 7 7/8" by 11 3/8".

The IX1000.5 is a five-channel Amp with separate sub channel. It's rated 65W x 4 at 4 ohms or 125W x 4 at 2 ohms or 250W x 2 at 4 ohms bridged and 250 x1 at 4ohms or 500 x 1 at 2 Ohms at 14.4V rms.

I'm in San Diego.

I would really like to finally have a system I can enjoy and stop messing with so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

John

1. I think I used this when I installed my setup:

2. What is reasonable priced for you? And does trunk space matter more or price/quality more? The 4080 box is decent but a custom box for a sub is going to be much better.

3. What MB quarts do you have? I have not heard many component sets except for alpine's (I have the type x components) so can't help you much there.

4. Most people mount the amp and screw it on the backseat.

I have a jl 300/4 pushing 2 alpine spx-177a in front, and an alpine pdx1.1000 running an Ascendent Audio Havoc 12" in a custom 2.7 cu. ft. box. I'm in San Diego too (University City) and you can come hear my setup if you want to help you decide, since alpine's are decently priced.

The amp will give u 250 x 2 bridged for the fronts + 500 x 1 @ 2 ohms on the sub channel. You have a nice amount of power to work with here.

4080 box is nice, but not many subs work well in it. Is trunk space a concern?

Here are my 2 options.

2 Creative audio SDX 10s look good sealed in ~2.4 cubic feet for the pair. Qtc is nice at 0.67. These subs would sound awesome.

2 SSA Dcon 10s look amazing sealed in ~2.4 cubic feet with a surprisingly linear frequency response from 30hz to 90hz. Qtc is excellent at .44. Its not quite as loud as the Creative SDXs, but it models a lot more linear. This would be my choice.

Components wise, i would be looking at the image dynamics cxs, hertz esk(hsk's would be AWESOME), hybrid audio imagine, diamond audio h600s
