Compass and Thermometer/Temperature Guage

Hi,

Just got 2008 G35x premium with nav last weekend and am trying to figure out the compass and temperature outside of the vehicle.

When looking through the manual it is saying there should be a compass on the rear view mirror but I don't even seem to have the same buttons or the display for direction. The only compass I could find is the small directional one when the map is being displayed on the screen. Did all G's come with a compass in the rear view mirror and mine was replaced or was this an option of any sort?

I am not sure if the thermometer reading is something else that might be typically displayed in the rear view mirror but I can't seem to find anything regarding that either.

I am still trying to figure everything out with the car .

Thanks

the compass that they are talking about can be seen on the top right here:
