Bluetooth and iPhone 4 w/ ios5
I have a 2007 g35 coupe. Since ive upgraded to IOS5, I have had nothing but problems with the bluetooth. It disconnects all the time in the middle of calls and sometimes it doesnt connect at all. Do you think that the bluetooth unit in the car is going bad or do you think it is the ios5 having issues?
Thoughts???
Is anyone else having the same issues?

I have the ios5 installed on my phone but i have the 3gs. Im not sure if the actual phone makes a difference but the software is the same and i havent had any problems with it. You should try connecting someone elses phone that is not an iphone and see if the same problem happens. If it does it is probably a bluetooth issue

I'm having these kinds of problems in my '08 sedan as well. From what I've seen online, this is a common problem with ios 5. Fords, for example, seem to have a lot of problems. I think it's an Apple issue though, not the radio since my problems started when I updated to ios 5 (for the record I have a Verizon iPhone 4). Also bluetooth worked just fine with the two Blackberries I had before the iPhone.
I have tried erasing the phone from the car's memory and erasing the car from the phone's memory and starting over with the pairing process. This seems to have helped a bit but the connection is still far from 100%. The only thing that definitely works is turning off bluetooth on the phone and turning it on again every time I start the car after the phone has paired. Obviously that's a bit of a pain, so I only do it on longer trips or if I know I'm going to make a call.
I had some problems right after I bought the phone, but Apple soon released an update to ios 4 and the bluetooth connection worked flawlessly until ios 5. I have updated to 5.0.1 and that has not made it any better; maybe 5.1 will fix it.

Did the update and it is worse than ever.... The phone disconnects when I start to dial. When I initially paired the phone it was pretty good, I made some calls and it seemed to be holding connection but when I turned the car off and then back on again it started disconnecting and doing all that weird stuff. No one has any reall suggestions on what to do so I guess I'm giving up on it.
On a side not I bought a jawbone icon and it works flawlessly with the iPhone.
