I am waiting on my jdm kit to get here but in the mean time I am trying to figure out what would be the best unit with ipod interface controls?

I really dont need navi (all tho most have iphone navi apps). I just need it mostly for ipod/iphone support. I know the kenwood has really good support for ipod but I hate how the usb connection is infront of the unit.

Pioneer's still got the best iPod interface on their units, in my opinion.

Check out the Pioneer 4400 - rear connections and a host of other goodies.

If you've got somebody handy with a soldering pen, you can fairly easily relocate the USB and 3.5mm inputs to the rear on any headunit though.

Not a fanboy by any means, but their price/performance and features are fantastic.

Not a fan of the looks or layout of the interface on the current JVC line, but they are very fast.
