Does 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe have a Power Antenna?
I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe. I have installed a new Pioneer AVH-P3400BH radio in the G35. I used the PAC ROEM-NIS2 (OEM-1) for the harness interface (conversion) between the new Pioneer HU and the vehicle's sound harness.
Here is my question: The PAC ROEM-NIS2 harness has a blue wire on the radio side which should be connected to the Power Antenna. Does the G35 Coupe have a power antenna? I know physically there is no power antenna. But is there some electronic component or "antenna signal amplifier" that I need to connect to the Pioneer head unit's Blue/White remote control (system control relay) antenna?
Thank you,
Cameron

There's no power antenna, just the antenna amplifier.
If your headunit puts out enough power, it'll power the amp, otherwise, you're better off connecting the "power antenna" part of the vehicle side wiring harness to a full-power (not just power-on *signal*) wire, like the red power wire going to the radio, or the cigarette lighter's +12v wire.

According to the specifications in the radio manual:
Preout maximum output level = 2.0V
Does this help?
Thank you, Cameron
The 2v that you're referring to is what the preamp outputs give (from your RCA outs). If you are concerned just set it up to a 12v constant source like the cigarette lighter like Wrathernaut mentioned.
I have installed a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH radio -- do you happen to know if it outputs enough power for the power antenna & amp...? Is there some spec where I can find this value? What is a good value to have?
