OEM iPod Interface Adpater
I am selling a OEM Ipod integration unit and harness that allows an iPod to play on the factory G35 Radio.
This fits most 2003-2007 G35 Coupes and 2003-2006 G35 Sedans. $125 + shipping & pp fees.
The G35's sold in the US Market during the years above only had AM/FM Radio and Cassette capability.....an additional option possibly let you add Satellite radio. But no iPod! However, in the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), Nissan provided this iPod integration adapter so that they could use their iPods. With it, you too can have complete control of your iPod through this unit, complete access to your music conveniently through your factory radio controls. This will also display Song, Artist, & Album title on the factory radio display.
This unit will charge your my iPod while plugged in...
---it does for iPods--- iPhones and iTouch's play perfectly but to allow them to charge, you will need to buy the inexpensive Schosche part found at this link:
)
You can control some functions with it using your steering wheel switches...
-- Song skip and volume only. --- '03-'04 & '07-'08 Models do not have skip compatability through the steering wheel controls.
This Is a factory part.....Nissan makes it for certain Nissan models. It was adapted to be used in the Infiniti models. Your local Infiniti dealer will most likely be unaware of this accessory. ---because it was only sold in the Japanese Market until a dealer in the US found out how to adapt it to the US G35.
Be aware that this works with some but not all models of G35's....this model does not work with very early 2003 G35s (production date before 09/02) as they are not satellite capable and 2007+G35s that are equipped with Navigation and XM's Navtraffic.
This will allow you to use the proper Factory part to play your iPod and other Apple products in your G35. This is like new and comes in the original box.
There are easy to follow installation instructions on this forum.....they are what I used to install in my G35 coupe ( I will include them as well).
I posted a couple of pics of the module installed when in my car to show how clean and factory it is.

Yea I don't think it can be controlled while plugged in. Seems to be with all iPod interfaces. The one in my old scion tC I would plug it in and it would either have a check mark or it would say scion and could only be controlled through the headunit or steering controls. I just unplugged it, found a playlist and plugged it back in a surfed from there. GLWS OP

Well, I did a quick Google search and found these sites that says that it does work on the 2003 FX35:
http://g35nyc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43948 (1st post shows same part number as mine 999U7-VR002 fits the 03-07 FX35 & FX45)
http://www.qtsigns.com/genuine_nissa...od_gateway.htm (shows fits 03-07 FX)
It looks like I priced mine too cheap.....

The length of time to install depends on where you want to locate the ipod plug in your car, i.e., in the console, etc. It also depends on whether you installed one of these before. The first time I insalled it, the time was about an hour....I could do it now in about 20-25 minutes.
Some of the install is just quick plugging the module into the harness in the car.....the rest of the install is fishing the ipod plug & wiring underneath the carpet and then up into the console.
If you want, I would be happy to talk to you over the phone and walk you thru the steps while you were at your car so you would know what was needed before you buy it
