I would go for the 2nd gen remotes. Better material and quality.

You should have the intelligent key entry with your car. I would recommend you get another one of those and have it programmed by a infiniti dealer. The early ones, which you see if your link is a step down from what your car should have came with.

You should get one of these

Program it yourself. It's easy. Takes few minutes. Save some more money

If it came with a 1st Gen remote and that has been working fine with your car, then the pink one you found should work just fine. It would just need to be programmed.

I just wanted to make absolulely sure of this before i paid for it. i didnt want to buy it and get screwed! so you are positive that it will work and you are saying that the remote i am currently using is the same verison os this pink one? 2003-2005? And are you saying that my car originally came with a 2nd gen key remote?

Honestly I am no expert with these cars so I am just going off the information provided. You said your 1st gen remote works fine with your car right now. And since it is a 1st gen remote, that would lead me to believe it was meant for the 2003-05 lineup. So if it works fine right now, I don't see why the new one you are looking at would be any different. It would just need to be programmed for your car.

I know it can be frustrating getting the right equipment. But hopefully it will work out for you. Honestly, I would still prefer just buying the newer KeyFob and painting the outside plastic in pink. You could get more creative with it as well as get a nicer shade of pink =)

Just make sure the FCC ID number is the same, if so you should be good to go.
