Does my car have sattelite radio? If so, what steps do I need to take?
I just got my 2006 Infiniti G35 SEDAN yesterday.
When opening my glove compartment, I saw that it had a small XM Radio remote.
So I assumed the past owner had sattelite radio ... so with that said, what steps do I need to take? I really want to get sattelite radio because my 6 disc CD changer is broken!
And anyway I can hook up an AUX without removing the whole set?
Thank you guys.

No idea what the previous owner did to hook up the XM radio, so you'll have to do some digging of your own. The factory radio didn't use a remote for the xm, so it wasn't a factory xm adapter installed. If the factory radio's going out, like it apparently is, you're best off just going with an aftermarket radio to get xm.
If everything's there, you'd just hit the sat button, which would give you the info needed to activate it, but again, the factory unit didn't use a remote, so I'm not sure what the owner did.
Sorry, didnt realize the past post. So what is my best option now? I dont know where to hunt down the antenna wire if I were to buy an aftermarket radio now ..

Yeah, there might be an aux input adapter somewhere back there, so all you'd need is an aftermarket xm adapter to go between that and the antenna that's still there.
I'd see if there's a member nearby that can quickly check the back of the headunit for what's hooked up.
If they didn't remove the antenna, they may have left the aux input as well, and just transferred the actual XM unit so they take it in their next car.

I took out the factory radio to see what is back there and there is a spare wire (looks like an AUX cable, but a bigger version) just chilling there. Is that supposed to be there or? I don't see any signs of any AUX cables around the area.
I should also note my car doesn't have a SAT button, but has the Radio button instead.
And it's not even a bose system either ... just factory.
