I have read a problem with the new Pioneer AVIC-N2. It uses the gyro for the navigation to tell if your vehicle is moving and not a parking brake ground wire. So if you want to watch DVD's while you are driving you need to get the AVIC - N1. It still uses the wire.

Yep. Its built into the board of the N2.
