Interior wiring to match ignition

I'm wiring a small dash cam and I don't want wires everywhere, I have the FSM but it doesn't show how to pull off the front panels or where the screws and clips are so I don't want to ruin anything by yanking it right off.

Is there any well known 12v source that's only hot when the ignition is on, and off when the car is off? Ideally I'd like to tap into the cigarette lighter, but this is going to be on the far left corner, just above the left AC/heater vents so that's a little far.

Any advice would be great!

Depending on the power draw, there's the power that goes to the vanity lights in the sun visors. It stays on for a short period of time after the car's turned off, but can be found right in the driver's side a-pillar.

There's also several choices down in the fuse box.

Perfect, does the A pillar panel just pull off? I tried giving it a light tug yesterday and stopped when it didn't pop off right away.

Yes, it pulls right off. It's significantly easier to do if you pull the rubber door seal off in the area first.

Thanks a lot, I'll post pics when I'm done. Just in case someone else comes across this.

Edit: Just kidding. Everything went well until I plugged the camera in and didn't notice its a 5v input. Fried the internals, waiting on ebay for a 12v camera from china again, it'll be a few weeks.
