Speakers crackling
Speakers crackling
Hey guys
, Just got a G35 a few months ago. Love the car (wish I waited to get a manual though).
Im having issues with the sound system. Since I have had it, every so often the entire sound system, regardless of input source, in motion or just starting the car, will start producing a crackling sound similar to static but more.. harsh and distinct 'cracks' of sound. This happens for a random time, and does not get affected by changing source, powering the system on/off, changing volume, or turning on/off the car in this state. To my count, its happened approx 7-10 times since I have had the car over the last 3 months. I can also provide a recording of the event if someone wishes. If anyone has any idea of how to fix it without huge expenses that would be amazing. (also the system is the Bose version, not sure if that makes a difference)
Thanks for your help, have an amazing thanksgiving.

Hey I've also noticed static here and there, I thought it was because the AUX connection sucked or something, but if its the bose amp then id like to address that. Where is the bose amp located and would it be hard to replace?
In the trunk, under the carpet by the spare. It's easy to replace, but it's a good excuse to upgrade to something better (anything).
I gotcha, what would be a good "bolt on" alternative to upgrade to? And will this affect the fact that I currently have a audio system in my trunk(a 10 inch JL sub and 1000w amp) as well? And do you think I should upgrade my speakers as well, idk my car is 6 years old so it might be that time?
