AUX in G35. (COVERED A LOT BUT STILL CONFUSED)
Hi guys,
I have an android with spotify. I want to play my music in my 05 G35. I've read up on this PA11-NIS and it's install. But everything I see, it has to do with an IPod. I went to the eBay to purchase it, and the connection it shows on the cover is an iPod.
Do I need to purchase the PA11-NIS for a simple auxiliary jack for my android? I kept reading that I will also need a Y cable. Can I just buy the Y cable, plug it into the back of my radio, run the cord to my Android and it will work ok?
Thanks for the help and sorry if this post annoys you. I've been reading articles for about an hr and a half, and the more I read, the more confused I get. Thanks a bunch for those who will help this poor soul.

The PA11-NIS is no longer produced, the PA15-NIS has an AUX input that'll work with your android phone, or you can get a wired FM modulator, or the PAC ISNI531.
Currently using an iPod Touch running Spotify connected via the Aux -> iPod cable in '08 g35x sedan.
While this isn't exactly your situation, I found some interesting things to note:
- The iPod would not register as connected if I did not have at least one song on the iPod that was *not* as a result of Spotify "offline" playlists. E.g. I had to have one mp3 physically on the iPod that I put there.
- The steering wheel controls for the tracks don't always work. For clarification:
When not working: I plug in the iPod with Spotify running and on the "iPod not connected" screen on the display. If the song does not automatically start, I will only be able to skip or rewind the track once.
When working: I plug in the iPod with Spotify running and on the "iPod not connected" screen on the display. If the song starts automatically, and the steering wheel controls work perfectly.
- The song shuffle/randomization, switching playlists, etc has to be done via the device (iPod).
Hope this info helps, in some way.
