I am wanting to do some audio upgrades on my 05 G35 coupe w/ Bose HU.

I am going to keep the HU for now as the trim kit is so expensive. I'm just going to use a Bose wiring harness to RCA then RCA to AUX since that is the only input I usually use anyways. This will mean I can hook up my phone to my headunit for a cost of about $20 or less.

I am going to replace the Bose amp with:

Will this amp accept the Differential Balanced inputs? Will it accept RCA's that have been converted from Differential Balanced inputs? I don't see how a LOC is different from splicing the wires to an RCA.... Or how some LOCS work for this and some don't..

I'm very confused by it and have read A LOT of articles.

Thanks in advance!

No, soundstream don't take balanced signals. JL amps do.

LOCs convert the audio from a speaker-level signal to a lower-level signal, not just converting the format of the connectors.

So even if I converted them, the soundstream will sound like crap because of the diff balanced BS...

So how about an amp that accepts diff balanced? i'm looking now at the Kicker zx650.4 with two front channels powering Image Dynamics components at 4 ohms, and the two rear channels run to each of my Alpine Type R's 2 ohm voice coils... That'll give the components 120 RMS and the sub 340 RMS.. not running the rear speakers

That amp should work well, just run the pre-amp signal from the headunit into the RCA inputs on the amp.

I think a MTX RE Q5 should work (or another similar MTX RE product in the same line). I had the same problem.
