Speaker Reccomendations
Please reccomend speakers for my G35 Coupe. I plan on upgrading all the speakers on the G35, add a subwoofer on the spare tire enclosure, and dynamat the trunk and doors.
The sound of the Bose system is quite offensive. I thought I could live with it, but everytime I hear mud it irritates me.

I plan on doing the same plus doing the Xbox install for DVD viewing and MP3 playback. I will be installing MB Quart Q series 6.5" components in the front stock locations and a 12" JL Audio 12W3V2 in the spare tire area. I want to keep my trunk space. I will be disconnection the rear speakers all together. The Quarts sound great all by themselves. There is a thread on this site that goes through the entire install of the very speakers that I have. Just search for it. I will be running all of this with a single Alpine MRV-F357 5-channel amp with the the components getting 2 channels each, bridged. That would be about 125 clean watts to each of the sets of components up front plus about 150 clean watts for the sub. That's plenty for me. Best part is that you won't see a thing! Good Luck!

I had Alpine spx177 components(?) in the door, and changed them to Focals Polyglass Components...These are superior speakers, and well worth the money. I also have an Elemental Designs 12" sub in Drewer's custom box, in the trunk. No rear deck speakers, and no rear armrest speakers. Sound is loud, clear and clean.
In the spring, I'll remove the rear deck speakers to allow more sub into the cabin...it's too cold now.

Rainbow is nice but who really wants to spend $7K. Focal is accurate, but way to mechanical sounding, no warmth to it. MB Q series is good too, tweets need mad power to make them smooth.
I wish there were more companies making smooth sounding tweeters. Wish companies like Scan-Speak would make car audio versions of their tweeters. Very warm sounding tweeters.
