Something like this has to cost an arm and a leg. I'll give up both... this thing sounds absolutely amazing. Any projected MSRP? I know it's early.

 

Well the great thing about carputers is the actual hardware can be mostly standard off the shelf computer parts, save the special power supply. The software is being designed to work with generic hardware rather then expensive proprietary hardware being custom built to the needs of the software like typical head units. This also means you have more ability to build a system within your budget as long as you meet the minimum hardware requirements. It won't be what I would consider cheap, but I can garuntee it will have high value and you will get a lot more power and capability for your money then what you would get by buying a similarly priced more typical headunit.

The core software product without NAV will be priced under $100 and a navigation enabled version will be under $300. I am working with resellers who will be bundling the software with a complete hardware solution. Pricing for complete systems will vary greatly depending on options, but can easily be below $1500 for a nicely equipped system with significantly more power and upgradability then any comparably priced head unit.
