Did the Nav hack and intstalled a Roku in my car. I got a Verizon Jetpack providing the internet and streams music and video (for passengers) flawlessly. I extended the IR sensor so the remote is more intuitive - aim at the screen and it works. Also made an AV extension to the glove box for future devices.

Roku is a great setup especially for music. Sounds so much better than using my phone to stream and easier to control with a remote.

Here is a shot of the extended IR sensor. I used a mini jack for the extended eye so it can easily be unplugged if I want to take the Roku in the house.

Nice! Can you share the instalation set up. I'm wondering where/how did you get the power from? did you need any kind of adapter? where is the actual box, center cubicule?

Thanks
Ps. pic if possible.......

Yeah for sure can share some more pics on the installation.

For power originally I used an adapter to convert the power but I saved money and space by building a USB cable that powers the Roku. It fits in the center console and fills up the bottom half of the center console including the jetpack that provides the Internet.
