Not sure if im in the right place but i just lost my key for a 2006 6mt( not fob but actual key). Just wondering where you guys have gone for a replacement besides the stealership. Also, what did you do about getting it cut and reprogrammed. Thanks!

 

You can use a much cheaper transponder key from amazon (about $11) or just about any place that sells transponder keys and program it yourself:

My fob is fine. Its actually the physical key; the one that goes into ignition. I read you need both keys to program yourself. I only have 1 key and 2 fobs. Will buy a key online somewhere but im worried about getting it programmed.

 

The fob is good. I need the key that goes into the ignition. I have 2 fobs and 1 key. Just worried if i can get it programmed anywhere besides dealer. Read 2 keys are needed to
program 3rd key.

 

Ah, sorry, pulled the wrong post, a local locksmith may be able to program the new transponder key for significantly less.
