Replaced head unit still no sound

Installed a Pyle PLDNV78i using the pac and using Wrathernaut's instructions and I have no sound. Stereo powers on and memory works. I checked for power at the amp and that's good. How do I make sure the pac is working and is there a way to check that sounds is getting to the speakers? Thanks

I noticed that with a light tester that on the radio side of the pac the tester lights up bright but on the car harness side the tester is extremely dim. Is this normal?

So in an effort to rule out the possibility of a bad radio I wired in another one. I still have no sound. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to determine if the amp is bad or if I somehow got a bad PAC?

I'm going with you didn't wire it correctly. Make sure the colors match . No sounds from any makes now sense. Did you wore them backwards? Do you have a signal wire from amp to head unit to let the amp kick on?

I followed Wrathernaut's wiring diagram. All colors match up correctly. Both head units power on and appear to be getting an FM signal. Just no sound. The signal wire is wired thru the factory harness per Wrathernaut's write up.

I verified that the amp is getting power via the amp on signal wire at the amp connector. . Think I got a bad amp? Can I read the speaker wires to see if the amp is putting out anything?

Just check for a low-voltage A/C signal on the speaker wires to check for signal.

Where would be the best place to check? This is a stupid problem to have. I'm seriously considering replacing all the speakers and by passing the amp. Then eventually adding a sub.

Back of the radio first, then at the amp inputs.
