4080 8 inch enclosure?

Howdy!

This is kind of a long shot, but does anyone know of, or have, a 4080 enclosure for an 8 inch sub that they are wanting to get rid of?

Someone gifted me a 8w7... so I need to get a solid box for it. I'm not opposed to having one custom built, but I know these boxes were the top of the line in their hayday.

I guess I could just get a 10 inch box and put a spacer in it?

Let me know what you got!

I don't think I've seen one for an eight inch. I've seen ten and twelve. A spacer might be your best bet. Maybe the Wrathernaut will chime in.

Zenclosures are cheap, whereas a 8" sub in a 10" box won't sound right. The sub is designed to have an exact amount of space, and with something as wonderful as an 8w7 don't skimp .

Hey redguitarfreak,

I haven't been on these forums for some time but I was going to post a new thread here soon for sale of my driver and passenger side 4080 enclosures. They're both for 10" so if you want to go bigger you're welcome to PM me. I'm out of Tampa and will either try and sell them here on these forums or on craigslist. I no longer have my 06 coupe

Driver and Passenger side Boxes

10" Kickers are still inside (when I get home I'll re-look what model they were)

JBL amp that drove them is also available

Gosh, those boxes are gorgeous!

And guys, thanks for all the responses. I hadn't been on in a couple of weeks and forgot that I had posted here. I still haven't found a box, but as Urbanengineer stated, I now think it would be better if I could find the right box for the job.

I do have a question/thought. Would it be worth just getting a cube box and then fiberglassing around it to mold it to fit the side of my trunk?

A 4080 will net maybe 150 *+ shipping. It takes a lot less effort to go the easy way man, and results are proven.
