Question Help with the latest verson of Waze

Can anyone tell me how to tag cops and warnings on the OPPOSITE side of the road? Now that I have the latest update, I can't figure it out. The forum Mod for Waze basically said go FO.

Android or IOS? What version # are you on? I still have the option to tap the "other direction" lane button when reporting a hazard, cops, etc.

Running on my iPad with the latest updates. Yes there is a "new version" of Waze, now I can't seem to tag the other side of the road.

I'm on release 3.9.6.0 on android, and the other side button is still on the lower-right side of the police tagging popup.

I disabled auto-update for waze, just in case.

I found out the latest version for iOS eliminated it. Nothing I can do for now.

Well, that's lame. I wonder if it has something to do with Virginia cops complaining about the feature.

If they had their way, you wouldn't be able to report cops at all

Click the Orange bubble on the right, it seems to be fixes now.

I love Waze too, but the cops are getting wiser to Waze, so it's not always a foolproof source of presence info:

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...tested-feature

"As the number of Wazers has grown, cops have adapted. They move when they get tagged, for example. If you see multiple cops tagged within a couple of miles, it’s usually just the same one, changing his spot every few minutes. I’ve seen cops clustered in cellphone dead zones since you need a signal to upload their location. Waze also requires a critical mass of traffic because an empty road tells no secrets. And, of course, social police-spotting is worthless against cruisers that are in motion."

I have been using it since before it was sold to Google, I knew then that it wasn't "accurate" I rarely found cops where Waze said they were, however, it does alert me to cops in the AREA and I act accordingly. The cops down here don't monitor it much if at all.

I wish they had a "moving cop" button, which would place a cop icon moving at the measured flow of traffic on the road. Would be great for highway use.

The other thing I wish was that you would get an alert for cops in the other side of the road.

An alert would be nice, but I have a mount that puts the phone up by my steering wheel. So I just glance over at it from time to time and if I see a cluster of cop reportings, slow down a bit.
