Mine is blank there too dude, also 06, I've followed the same guide. I'm not sure what the heck is going on lol.

 

Might only exist for 03-04's. I'll check mine tomorrow and I'll check back here with my results.

Weird indeed, mine was there and I have an 06 Coupe Auto. I used those exact pictures .cakestar posted to identify the wire awhile back...I'm guessing you all that have the wire missing are Manual?

 

Auto here. 06 made in August.

 

Mines an '04 6MT and it had the purple wire.

 

So I may have found an alternate solution but at the same time might have messed something up

First I went ahead and just ran a wire from the headunit directly to the reverse tail light wire by the trunk.(My reverse wires back there were red/blue, weird.) So I start the car and put it into reverse and I get a black/blank screen. So I thought I might have had a loose connection somewhere.

I went back to the trunk and noticed that the RCA video output connection was loose, but as soon as I reconnected it, I realized "Oh SH-....I FORGOT TO DISCONNECT MY BATTERY!"

Now I'm afraid to start my car. What do I do at this point?
