They're shaped very differently and the 05-06 is just the faceplate. It doesn't have the a/c vent extensions.

I ordered a Pewter and received it the other day- was going to get Charcoal but they're on back order until the end of February.
The color match is still slightly off - the Pewter for sure doesn't have the same shine as OEM and is a little bit darker.
I'll make sure to add a picture of it when I'm done with the install!

Thank You! I know it's an old thread but this seems like a fantastic kit.

It is a fantastic kit, very easy to get going and was a blast to install.
Wrathernaut himself was amazed by it.

For the color match, I'd say that the pewter matches the clock trim more than the OEM color of the the dash and center console.
That is if you have the tan/silver interior.

I'll post a picture tomorrow if I can remember to snap one.

Anyone have any updates on their install? Still can't quite figure out how the one poster got one with a proper color match.

I'm so sorry, I never got the picture to you and I honestly forgot.
With that being said, the color not matching is not that bad and noticeable. I rarely even think about it nowadays.

All good and wasn't aimed at you! Just curious what people are receiving and how it holds up. The 04 seems to be more silver. I think they have only two options. Also curious about feedback on how the controls are holding up.

I'm late to the party, so what do you guys recommend metra or scosche?
Not worried about color match because i can vinyl wrap it with carbon fiber.

Scoshe al the way!! Metra looks way too cheap. Scosche is much closer to OEM. If you look back I posted pics.

Thanks man, i have the same titanium/silver as you so i'm going to order the "pewter" one. If it matches then no need for wrap, if it doesn't then wrap it.

I appreciate your reply

Definitely agree Scoshe all the way; I initially ordered the Metra but really didn’t like it, returned it and bought the Scoshe…

Keep in mind the scosche is only for the 2003-2004 G.

G35 Coupe w/Bose
Hey all! Man this is a lot of great information that has been sitting idle for a few years. Hopefully some still reply! My question that I cannot seem to find an answer for is:
I just bought an 04 G35 Coupe with Bose. The Bose amp is dead (go figure) and the navigation is obviously super outdated. So, I'd love to remove the Nav and put in the top pocket and install an aftermarket double-din stereo and amp to get rid of the crappy Bose amp. I cannot find any kit that comes with a top pocket or any information from anyone that has done this. I can't be the only one that has done this. Anyone have any advice or can point me in the right direction? I was excited to find this car fully stock, but this stereo thing is killing me!
