Buzzing front right speaker (tweeter?)

I have the bose system in my '05 coupe and I have a buzzing sound coming from the front right speaker, I'm pretty sure it's just the tweeter doing it, but not positive. It's definitely not mechanical, it's audio electronics related. It goes away if I adjust the volume or turn off the radio. It's there intermittently, about 60% of the time and seems to happen most often when volume is above 15. Still under 1000 miles on the car.

Has anyone else experienced this? How was it fixed? If it's fixed by simply replacing the tweeter, I'm not going to bother with the dealer as I'm going to be putting in aftermarket tweeters soon, anyway.

i've got the same problem. i still hold strong that this stock system stinks. i'm gonna hold off fixing it till my first oil change... can't be bothered with infiniti service right now. plus it seems to come and go like yours. i'm also gonna see how much it costs to upgrade the speakers in this car (maybe this weekend ?). maybe the aftermarket guys will have a better answer about the buzzing... hoping that it's present while i'm at their shop.

current problems with my bose right now:
-intermittent buzzing noise
-hu doesn't hold +5 settings after restart

My left front tweeter was doing the same thing as you described. Comes and goes. Someone recently posted that they replaced the front tweeters with some aftermarket Infinity's and said it made a huge difference. Now, maybe someone can post the DIY install guide and the model numbers for the speakers, then we would be golden!!!!1

Thanks

Here's an install I did on my '03 sedan of new tweeters and front woofers. The tweeters I used aren't available anymore, but it's the same install for any. I will be doing it again soon on my new coupe.

I just wanted to make sure that the problem is the tweeters themselves and not the headunit. If it's just a bad batch of tweeters, then I'll install my new ones and forget about it.
