Aftermarket stereo

Can anyone explain how they put in an after market stereo. I cant really think of a way to do it without major modifications and am hoping someone else knows of a better way. One thing i did notice is maybe it could be put in the location of the cubby above the ac controls?

The easiest way to do it onthese cars is to completely remove your OEM stereo and climate control button assembly. Then install a double din kit with a new stereo.

Quadruple that $50 and you might find something used in the Marketplace.

Or go with the cheaper Metra kit. I think Scosche makes one too now.

If you don't need it yesterday....join some local Z/G groups if you're into Facebook.
I've seen used Metra DDIN kits with the head unit and harnesses for around $150.
I've also pulled a full kit out of a junkyard g35 - if you have any in your area it might be worth a visit.
