So i just recently puchased a 2005 g35x & I’m trying to figure out what Map Version works, I found a 6.1 Version at the jjnkyard today but it was supported I guess

which one actually supports the 05?

You have the first gen navigation that uses the DVD, I think 2005 is required to use the 6.x version discs. There hasn't been an update in MANY years so you're not going to find updated maps, I think the highest software revision is 6.11 and it was released in 2013

You should check your VIN number and verify you have a 2005 model year chassis. 2006 uses the 7.x discs.
