Hi all! Not sure if this can be still actual, but anyway I'm gonna post it. Hope this will help someone one day.
Car - Nissan Skyline PV36 2005 6MT
I've installed a rearview camera and connected it to AV receiver and to reversing lights and faced an issue:
1. When I release a handbrake - the video is loss.
2. When I leave a handbrake a little bit "on" and start driving - the video is loss anyway.
So here is the way how to bypass it. I had to do some research with electrical tester and found it.
You have to:
1. GRAY PLUG: Cut a violet cable with red stripe (№ 29) and connect it to minus (to car body) from the gray plug side. This will break the AV handbrake safety.
2. GRAY PLUG: Cut a blue cable with black stripe (№ 28) and just leave it as is (maybe isolate it if you want). This will break the AV speed/driving safety. Not sure if this will brake navy system or not, but fuel consumption on built-it onboard computer still works OK. Anyway, in Russia we don't use anything except fuel consumption on these computers, plus, all interface is in Japanese lang makes useless any other functions.
The scheme I used to edit for show - found somewhere here on forum.
@docron1 message ON THE GREY HARNESS, WHITE WIRE WITH GREEN STRIPE NEXT TO RED WITH BLUE STRIPE - not applies to my case with "white+green stripe" but applies with "next to red with blue stripe" so thank you very much - this helped anyway.
