okk i went to futureshop to get a price quote on a amp and 2 10" subs
and the guy asks me wat kind of car i had, and i told him its a 2005 G35 with a bose audio system in it...

he told me that bose can have an amp for every speaker in the car, and told me to do some research on the components in the car and ask my dealership if i can hook up an amp to the stock deck

I'm interested in this as well...can't stand the lack of any depth in the "premium" system. If possible, could we get examples and/or prices as well? for that matter, links...I'm willing to order right now.

I'd be weary of any shop that doesn't know the answer to this question...

the answer is yes, but it will compromise sound quality... a line level converter is what you will need...

Yeah, I wouldn't take my car to a shop that gave an answer like that

An audio shop telling you to research it first.....think about it. I wouldn't take my car there. Better chance of doing it yourself.

Here is the schematic for the amplifier (actually whole BOSE system)...

Just unplug the +/- of your right rear and left rear subs, and plug in your own. Your subs might not hit that hard simply because the amp is not powered enough in terms of wattage to be able to make 2 10's hit hard. Also, I don't know what type of current load the amplifier can handle, but my guess is not that much since the BOSE audio system isn't the strongest hitting system out there in terms of our setup...

If you have a sedan, disregard that schematic as that is the wiring diagram for the coupe.
