help removing sat antenna!

Tried pulling the factory sirius antenna off the roof. That thing is stuck on real tight! And I don't want to damage my car, anybody who's done this have any hints?

I wanted to have mine moved from the roof to the inside but I've been worried about if it would be noticeable

Alright guys, I just did it. Use floss to cut through the adhesive and it comes loose. Be careful not to move it around too much, there are magnets on the bottom too. Thanks for all your help!

is the trunk mounted one or the roof? I think the roof one has a little notch for the wires to pass through into the car, I'm assuming that would have to be sealed up.

So wait...use floss and thats it??? There is no hole in the roof??? Do you have pictures of the aftermath? I am curious because I want to do it too, but don't want a hole in my roof...Thanks!

Those don't work that great inside... Inside anntenas don't work well outside of urban areas that don't have the ground boosters... I would personally just paint it and get used to it. You could damage the roof and get really bad reception after all that work removing it. Also if you don't have one of the newer "mini" anntenas you could try that also.

If you like the idea of getting it painted

Try our site www.colormatchantenna.com if you want it painted. We just can't paint the ones that are made of rubber, just the hard plastic antennas.
