Re: final stages

Nice set up man. What speakers are you running to your JL 300/4. I have the the same 500/1 amp wired to 2-10w3's bass is clean and tight. I really hate the way the bose speakers sound. I am looking for over all sound clarity. I have already been through the stage of a have a three amp booming setup in my previous car. I was also thinking of getting the JL 300/4 but not sure on what speakers. JL or alpine sound pretty crisp. What do you think. Or is it worth just changing out the front speakers or maybe even just the tweeters. Some installers have told me that it is too much to run two amps off the stock stereo. Do you have a capacitor and/or upgraded battery. All help and suggestions is appreciated from everyone. Thanks.

Re: final stages

well im gonna have the 300/4 pushed to its limits, i have JL Audio XR650-CSi (2 tweets, 2 6.5s) in front, JL Audio VR600-CX (6.5 coaxials) in rear, and JL Audio VR690-CX (6x9s) rear deck, and im probably gonna leave the factory tweets in the doors also, so that will be 10 speakers off that 300/4, if it cant handle it ill probably get another one. and for extra power i have an xstatic batcap 300, its like a cap and battery in one, they are cool.

Did u run 1/0 or 4g from the battery? If so, did u run under the

Re: what gauge power wire

i used 4g, i started out running it underneath, i bought some loom to run it in, then decided to just run it inside, i hate to do that, i like to keep it as far away from other stuff as possible, i took the battery and tray out and found a safe spot in the passenger firewall to drill thru, then ran it under the passenger side doorsill carpet

Re: final stages

Whoa... The spare tire raises the entire trunk floor? It doesn't just have a circular hole that it fits in? That changes everything! Oh man, I can't wait to get my coupe! Should have a VIN any day now...
