Capacitor suggestions

Ok, my system will be running a JL 500.1 and JL 300.4. How big of a capacitor should I get? Is 1 farad enough, or should I go with 2 or 3? Also, who makes a good digital capacitor? Thanks.

1-F is enough. Plenty of good caps out there. Check out the manufacturer of the power cable you are using. Alumacap, Stinger, DEI, etc. Good luck, sounds like the makings of an awesome sounding system.

Thanks. I've used Lightning Audio caps in the past and it worked fine. I may just get a Stinger cap just because it looks nice. Thanks again for the advice.

-normal rule of thumb is 1 Fa for every 1000W of power

-charging a cap depends on which model you get, but most caps will need to be "charged". Instructions come included on how to do this

-i only know one way to wire. a power wire coming from your battery or distribution block to the (+) terminal on your cap, another power wire from that same (+) terminal to your amp. (-) of the cap to ground.

that's how i plan to wire my set-up.
