Are you gonna remove the spare tire? and you think 8w7 would be loud enough?

with that box, you can just make it bout 4 inch deeper, think it will be around 1 cuft of air space, should be enough. know how big and heavy the W7 is , doing an 10w7, 500/1 and 450/4 tomorrow, since i am not doing an D/D conversion, just wondering if 10W7 with 500 would be loud enough for my liking

Not that i dont like to remove those, its just been done before if you remove the spare tire, you can basicly do anything you want, but whats the challenge in that?

I think I post this pic way too many times already...

Who says you cant take out the sub box? will make the box and amp rack removeable, did i say "challange"? since I do not want to have sub on the corner or on the side (just one sub) so the sub will be in middle towards the rear seat, sure, it will take few minutes to unplug all the wires and power cables but rather not get caught without spare, and since the 05s have tire presure sensors, dont want to use those fix-flat in a can thing either.

will w7's fit in this?

I am planning also on purchasing this box. I was wondering if I could fit 2 10" w7's in this box. That would b perfect. If not, wat is comparable that would fit?

The W7 wont fit. Myself I've never invested in nice subs. I take them in and out and change boxes so much for design purposes I'd just mess them up. Maybe someone thats had some experience with higher end subs will have some suggestions they can post.

I play it safe and say 6.5" is the max mounting depth but I have been told from several people the 10w6v2 fit in this setup which is 6.9" deep.

thanks mike

w7's need alot of airspace, this box would be good for one 8W7 but the box is not deep enough...

if you really want this box, and you want a good speaker for it, go with one 10W6v2, and a 500/1 amp

Since the box is is partitioned, couldn't you just add polyfil to each partition to "increase" the airspace? According to JL Audio,, W6v2 requires .5 - 1.0 ...if you add enough polyfil to bring it up to .75 - .80, that would be pretty good...right or wrong?

Where to put Amp

Hi guy,
This is a nice looking box, and plan to buy it. One problem is that it won't leave enough room to mount my 2 amp, 1 mono sub, and one 4 chanels amp. Have you guy try to mount the amp underneat the driver and passenger seat? I don't want to lmount the amps in the trunk because I will loose trunk space. Any suggestion on where to mount the amp>?

Thank a lot in advance,
Ratman

Hi mlg9770, Great looking box. I think you should start making a nice (2) 12" with .75 to .90 cubes per side for the coupe
