04 -> 05 head unit swap possible?

Sorry if this has been covered before but i couldnt find any posts on it. Would it be possible to buy a 05 bose head unit and swap it with my 04 bose head unit so that I can play mp3 cds?(for an 04 coupe) If so would this be simple to do? Also if this is possible is anyone selling their 05 one?

Anything is possible with enough money. Is it cheap to do? Depends on your definition. I'm sure some people on here that have done the swap will do it. My question is.. if your willing to go that route, why not just do the double din swap and put a real mp3 player in?

According to DrRick a new Bose head unit cost $2500. I think that would be the stupidest upgrade you can do to your car.

Not cheaply! AND.......the 05 AC controller will not exactly fit the 04 slot.....

BUT...
