My Sirius and XM antennas both work with each other on my Plug and Play sat radios. Don't know about the factory units in the trunk...Pingo

I did just the opposite of you. My car came with XM and I wanted Sirius. I bought the tuner from Everything G35 and put it in myself. I was hoping to use the antenna already installed on my car (the xm one), but it did not fit the Sirius tuner. I then tried to cut the end off of it and put on the end of an old Sirius antenna I had laying around. I soldered it on and it connected fine, but it did not work. So, in the end I had to take the XM antenna off the roof and put the Sirius one on. It wasn't too hard. Just let the car heat up to help break the glue's grip. Then just run your new wire where the old one was. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The hardest part is getting the antenna to break free (it is both glued on and a has a magnet base). Be careful not to scratch your car, especially if you don't plan on putting the new antenna in the same spot.
