Wire color help
Are there standard abbreviations for wire colors? Where can I find this info?
From looking at the service manual, there are 3 wires that go from the Sunroof Motor Assembly to the Sunroof Switch. It shows the wire colors as L/R, L/B and B. The actual wires on my car in that location are BLUE with a red stripe, BLUE with a black stripe and black. From what I gather, L must be the code for blue. But where do I find the others??
There is no wire color code in the ESM. Where can I find this info?? PLEASE HELP!!!

Just from looking at your description, I would guess:
bLue/Red strip, bLue/Black strip, and Black.

ryoken.......thanks I figured that out too. I'm just wondering about all the other color abbreviations. There must be some standard for wire color abbreviations but I can't seem to find it.

The Factory Service Manual for your roof is here:
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-man...F2004%2Frf.pdf
Scroll below the viewing window and you can "click here to download a copy".
It looks like the Black wire with Red stripe is your main "always on" power from fuse #19 of your in-cabin fusebox. It also splits off via a connector to a Yellow wire with Green stripe which runs to the sunroof switch. Black/red runs directly to pin-4 of the motor assembly. There is also an "ignition on" power to the motor assembly coming from the BCM which should be White in pin-5 at the motor assembly.
Anyway, the info is all in that book so hope that helps.
