Question Basslink HELP for '03 Bose Coupe

I have done my search and found no direct answers. Sorry if it's a repetition.

I'm looking for cheap and space saving system to get better sound and bass vs. stock. Searches revealed that Basslink is the best choice ( I think ) .
Can people with Basslinks or who have experience with it or similar system answer couple of questions? please!!

1. Do I need line converters after taping into speaker signals? Is it an easy tap?

2. I have heard that it's a pain to route power from battery, how bad is it?

3. Should I just have a professional install or it's not bad (I'm a technical but lazy person, lol)

4 Does it really fit in the side little part of the trunk?

4. Any discounted places to buy the basslink?

Any help is appreciated!

The Basslink accepts speaker level inputs, so youd ont need a line converter, but its always recomend if you're going to take that route. Reasoning for that is most powered subs have power sensing speaker inputs which turn the unit on and off, so that means the sub can stay on for some period after you shut the car or radio off.

Routing power to the back isnt as much a pain as it is most any car. Just take your time and do it right. Nothing hard about it...

If you dont want to bother with it, or dont know what you're doing then yea leave it to a pro...

Does it really fit where? What little part are you talking about? The whole trunk is little - lol.... I kept mine on the right hand side and used a plug and play type harness I made s o if I ever needed to swap it out I could.

The Basslink retails for roughly $300 but if yous hop around online you can get it for around $220-$250 shipped. If you want to save a little more, I have a used but in prefcet condition Basslink for sale. I'm asking $150 plus $15 shipping to anywhere in the cont/usa. It will come with the wired remote gain control and mounting brackets.

I'll even include (if you would like) a wirring diagram on how and where to tap into the stock AMP to make it all work...

If you're interested, drop me a line...

If you go basslink II you will have to use line level converters as the unit shuts down with the engine running (common ground issue).

They cost about $20 each so no biggie. Tap them at the amp inputs along with the turn on lead and don't rely on the auto power on/off.

Be carefull.. the basslink II does not fit into a coupe's nook on the left of the trunk.. it's too big.
