Almost Finished

About 1 year ago I put in my Pioneer AVIC-N1 and it dramatically improved my sound quality. At least it appeared so to me.

Well, yesterday I had my factory amp and speakers unhooked. Had brand spanking new wiring running through my entire car for my new amp and speakers.

This is what I had installed.

1 Clarion 640 watt max 4 channel amplifier.
2 6 1/2 Focal 165KF Component set in the front doors.
2 5 1/2 Focal 130KF Component set in the rear doors.

The tweeters for the Focal 165KF were placed in the factory tweeter location in the front doors.

The tweeters for the Focal 130KF were placed behind the speaker grill in the back doors. Since the grills in the back doors don't have the holes go all the way through, they took a tiny drill bit (not making the holes any bigger) and drilled the holes all the way through where they mounted the tweeters. It looks so stock and sounds so great.

I am so impressed with the setup for sound quality. I have never heard anything this good before.

It's titled "Almost Finished" because I have yet to do any subs. When I was younger that was the thing that I did first (subs). I was into trying to when db competitions (never won, but it was fun). I am now (9 years later) looking back on it and asking myself what was I thinking.

Any suggestions for subs for the back that would complement what I now have?

Other than my head unit you would never be able to tell that I have an aftermarket setup. I would like to keep it that way for the trunk as well (I think).

I am currently in a move and would love to get pictures but that might take a couple of weeks.

Did you run new speaker wire too? How did you go about doing that?

They had a special tool to remove the rubber sleeve between the door and the car and that helped them to run the new wires. This thing can crank so loud and sounds so awesome.
