Eclipse Double Din Install - Where to get Trim Piece

Exactly what the title says.

I know there are a couple of folks who have installed the AVN5435 as well as the older AVN/AVX double din models, so please help me out.

Where did you guys get the trim piece around the headunit to make it look "professional"?

I will be going to an audio shop next week in hopes of finding something, but would prefer to simply order one online.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, ignore this thread. But to those like g35riderc (?) and blackg35 (?), your help would be appreciated.

i did a search and saw some pics, but need a link to purchase it. if it needs to be custom sanded, I am willing to do that.

vinh

well my installer fabricated one for me, but if u get the new AVN's it comes with a foamy tape that u can use but it not professional imho.

any circuit city (or car audio shop for that matter) could order a blank piece and cut one for you.

OR you can get a real trim piece that comes off of the kenwood double din...eclipse was just too cheap to include it

Actually, many circuit city installers shouldn't even be allowed to touch power tools.

Yeah hopefully it will come with one and you can just modify it to fit.

Do you mean the aluminum piece with the DD opening for the head unit? Isn't that part of the DD kit from Nissan?

No...there is a trim piece that comes with MOST aftermarket stereos. If you try to install the eclipse double din without it, you cannot center the stereo. You must either make a bracket or get one from another stereo.
