AVIC-D1/N2 listsings on ebay

Hi Y'all,
I came across some listings on ebay where AVIC-D1/N2 are offered at 500 dollars. When I emailed some sellers they are willing to reduce the price further down. They claim that they have a brand new product which they get from Eurpoe. Something doesn't sound right here. How can a unit which retails over 1500 be sold that cheaply? Any comments?

Here is the email I have received from the ebay seller -

"First I want to tell you that my avic-d1 is brand new, unopened box
all accessories included and also an international warranty.
The invoice will come at the same time with the package.
My price is the best you could get: 500$/unit, including the
shipping and insurance taxes. We will pay them because the package
will be delivered from Europe.I have 5 units avalaible.
As delivery service we use UPS 2 days air service or overnight (with insurance and
15 days return policy), because it's the faster also free. And if you will have
a quick payment, we must also have a quick delivery. So that's why we use as a payment method Western Union money transfer,
the fastest and
also very secure way of sending money.
So, if you agree with my terms I'm sure that we can close the deal as soon as possible.
"

Remember, for a scam to work, the mark's gotta be looking for a deal that's too good to be true...

I tried to play along with these sellers via emails and trying to convince them to use paypal/credit card (where one can dispute in case of scam). But what a surprise, they wont accept anything but western union :-). Clearly looks like a scam. They say that in Romania such headunits are very cheap.!!

SCAM for sure. Try posting an ad for parts on the recycler or something. You'll get international hits offering to send you a fake MO for 4k more than what you're selling and ask you to western union the difference.

Scam...Ebay had a warning out not long ago to beware of any deal asking for Western Union money to be wired to Europe.
I would pass!
