I ran out of space in my dash (I have installed three double din units in-dash) to install a single-din tape deck, so I made a custom fiberglass housing for it and put it in my trunk. I love it. I open my trunk before I go for a ride, pop my C60 cassette in, and I'm set with tunes for an hour (or 1.5 hours if I had some extra $$$ from selling my hemp necklaces and bought a C90 )

The trick is, you have to find a tape deck that does the cool auto-flip. Otherwise when Side A finishes, you have to pull over and flip the tape in your trunk... or have a really understanding girlfriend who doesn't mind crawling through the backseat passthrough! lol

Pyramid makes a really good tape deck that does this, I think it has 4 preamp outs too.. last I saw both Walmart and Advanced Autoparts carry it.

Good luck!
